Ryna Brideau-Thombs is the Manager of Crisis Management Programs, a component of Emergency Management Alberta. She is responsible for the Alberta Counter-Terrorism Crisis Management Plan; the protocols for dealing with major terrorist weapons; the geospatial mapping and Emergency Notification systems; and the Crisis Management Operations Centre. All of these elements come together to coordinate cross-government response to terrorist threats impacting Alberta. Brideau-Thombs was educated at the Universities of New Brunswick and Victoria in Anthropology and Biology, and is currently furthering her studies in Business Administration and Management.
