Cathy Oakden has been a member of the Edmonton Police service for 25 years, and is currently a Detective working in Homicide Section. She is the first female member to have a permanent position in that unit, and currently the only female. She is married to an airline pilot and has two teenage children, so finding a balance between work and leisure is a constant struggle. In her spare time she enjoys golfing and curling.
